State visit by the King and Queen of Belgium
At the invitation of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, His Majesty King Filip of the Belgians will pay a state visit to the Netherlands from Monday 28 November to Wednesday 30 November. King Filip will be accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Mathilde.
The state visit highlights the close and wide-ranging relations between the Netherlands and its neighbour Belgium, and underlines their historic ties and shared values. The two countries maintain intensive diplomatic and political relations in the international domain, and at national and local level. Belgium is the Netherlands’ second main trading partner, after Germany. The Netherlands and Belgium also work together extensively in the cultural and academic fields.
