Programme for state visit to Czech Republic amended due to political situation in the Netherlands

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander will return to the Netherlands after the first day of the upcoming state visit to the Czech Republic. The King’s decision was prompted by the political situation that has arisen in the Netherlands. After the resignation of a government it is customary for the King to consult with his permanent advisers: the vice president of the Council of State and the presidents of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Her Majesty Queen Máxima will remain for the second day of the state visit programme as planned. After resigning as Minister of Economic Affairs, Dirk Beljaarts will not be participating in the official delegation.
