Queen Máxima taken ill during state visit to the People’s Republic of China
Her Majesty Queen Máxima became ill this weekend during the state visit to China. She was examined by a doctor on Monday morning 26 October, who diagnosed pyelitis.
Queen Máxima is receiving medical treatment. She will not participate in the official state visit programme this afternoon. A decision about whether she will attend the state banquet will be made later today. The Queen will not accompany the official party to the Loess Plateau tomorrow.
