The Treasurer’s Office deals with the private financial affairs of the King and other members of the Royal House. It also handles all financial matters falling under the Royal House Finances Act and keeps the records for the Royal Household.

The Office is headed by the Treasurer. He or she submits the budget for the King’s official expenditure to the prime minister and the budget for state visits and official receptions to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Treasurer also ensures the regularity of budget implementation, draws up the annual accounts and submits them to the prime minister. 

The Treasurer’s Office is part of the Royal Household.
