Official visit by the President of Greece (2)

The President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, will pay an official visit to the Netherlands on Monday 4 July and Tuesday 5 July. He will be accompanied by his wife, Vlasiá Pavlopoulou-Peltsemi. The visit will contribute to the further strengthening of the broad relationship between the Netherlands and Greece.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima meet the President of Greece and his wife at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague.

On the morning of 4 July King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will receive the President and his wife at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. After the ceremony there will be an audience with the King and Queen, followed by lunch. The King and the President will both give speeches.

In the afternoon, President Pavlopoulos will be received at the Senate in The Hague by the President of the Senate, Ms Ankie Broekers-Knol, and the President of the House of Representatives, Ms Khadija Arib. The President and his wife will then visit the Mauritshuis and the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Later that afternoon a reception will be held for members of the Greek community in the Netherlands. In the evening Prime Minister Mark Rutte will host a dinner for President Pavlopoulos at the Catshuis.

On the second day of the visit the President and his wife will visit the Modern Greek Department at the University of Amsterdam and the Social and Economic Council (SER). The programme will end with a visit to YES!Delft, a tech incubator which unites students and new entrepreneurs with knowledge, investors and coaches.
