In 1991, the Dutch Regional Transport Association and the vehicle manufacturers DAF and United Bus presented Queen Beatrix with a royal bus. After being replaced in 2006, it was donated to the DAF museum in Eindhoven in February 2007.
The current bus was manufactured in the Netherlands by Bus&Coach/VDL. Just like the car fleet of the Royal Stables, it is royal blue in colour. The bus seats 25 and has a wardrobe and toilet.
The bus is used to transport guests during state visits and big events. The royal family also travels on the royal bus on King’s Day.
