Queen Máxima in New York for talks on financial health
On Tuesday 27 January and Wednesday 28 January, Her Majesty Queen Máxima will be in New York for talks in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health (UNSGSA).
Queen Máxima will have strategic consultations on the agenda for the upcoming period with the staff of the Office of the UNSGSA, who provide support for her international activities in the field of financial health. The Office is housed at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in New York. On Wednesday afternoon, Queen Máxima will speak with the new UNDP Administrator, Alexander De Croo, about the progress of her UN activities.
As Special Advocate, Queen Máxima works to promote financial health by advocating for innovative financial products, services and policies that help people manage their day-to-day finances, protect themselves against risks, invest responsibly in short- and long-term goals and feel confident about their financial future.
Queen Máxima promotes the cause of financial health in the Netherlands as honorary chair of the Netherlands Financial Health Foundation (SFGN) and the Money Wise Platform.
