Her Majesty Queen Máxima will receive chairman and chief executive officer of JPMorganChase Jamie Dimon at Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague on the morning of Tuesday 7 July. JPMorganChase is one of the world’s largest financial service providers. The Queen and Mr Dimon will discuss the financial health of consumers and households and how the financial and business sectors can contribute to this. As the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate (UNSGSA), Queen Máxima works worldwide to promote financial health.

Through their products and services, financial service providers can help clients manage their daily income and expenses, build financial resilience, invest in short- and long-term goals, and gain confidence in their financial future. This may be an app that provides clients with budget advice and financial overviews, automatic saving for buffers or goals, responsible loans for investing in a business or education or payment schemes during financial difficulties. A focus on the client’s individual financial situation is where it all starts.

Financial health is important, not only for households but also for financial service providers and society as a whole. Financially healthy clients are able to repay their loans and purchase more products that support their development. And this contributes on a larger scale to financial stability and economic growth.

The Netherlands is one of several countries in Europe that Mr Dimon is visiting.
